1. Contains a waypoint for each step in the route description. May be used for conversion to a GPS route file, such as "GPX Route", "GPX Waypoint", or "PCX5 Waypoint".

2. Contains a linestring that follows the route exactly. Suitable for conversion to a GPS track file, such as "GPX Track", "PCX5 Track", "Garmin Course CRS", or "Garmin Course TCX".

3. Optimized for bicycling. Follows the route exactly, but close points are removed and points are inserted at corners to make it easier to recognize an upcoming turn. Suitable for conversion to a GPS track file.

Go to www.gpsies.com to convert your file. Click show options to specify a speed and insert altitudes (KML files currently do not include elevation data).

*) N = 0, NE = 45, E = 90, SE = 135, S = 180, SW = 225,
    W = 270, NW = 315.

The wind results should be used as a guide only. Whether the wind is felt as a head-, side-, or tailwind depends not only on the angle between the wind direction and the driving direction but also on the windspeed and the driving speed. % headwind is the part of the route with less than 45° between the wind and the driving direction, % tailwind is the part where the angle is at least 135°, and anything in between is included in % sidewind.

If you don't know the wind direction you may be able to find it at www.windfinder.com. In Denmark, you can find it at your nearest local weather station.

Tip: If your route is a loop and you'd like to test the wind percentages going around the loop in the opposite direction you can just enter a wind direction that is opposite of the actual direction, i.e. + or - 180°.
